About the trainer
Anja
Bolbjerg has more than ten
years
experience with conditioning for
skiing. She is a
two time Olympian and competed
on the world cup freestyle ski tour in the physically challenging
discipline of
moguls skiing with 25 top 10 finishes and one victory. She
has trained her way
back to the top of the field after such serious injuries as herniated
discs and
a torn ACL.
After her skiing career she
majored in
engineering, her thesis being on
the biomechanics of the knee. She
is
also a certified and experienced personal trainer and ski coach.
What You Get
The program consists of two progressions. This way you can work yourself gradually up in shape.
There are two different workouts in each progression, a Day 1 and a Day 2. Once you feel ready, after about 1-2 months depending on your current fitness level, you can move on to progression 2. If you are already in good shape, you can perhaps start on progression 2 faster.
Each ski workout takes about 30-minutes. The workouts are filmed real time, so you do the whole 30-min ski training session along with Anja. You can do these ski workouts anywhere from 2 to 4 times a week – alternating between the two.
The ski exercises shown in the DVD can also be done outdoors.
